Online voting for the San Mateo County Astronomical Society’s Officers and At-large Directors for the 2026-27 term of office is now open. The nomination for the Society’s Board are:

Voting ends July 18 at 6 p.m., which coincides with the Society’s Annual Star-B-Q at Crestview Park, 1000 Crestview Drive, San Carlos, where last minute in-person votes may be cast. Installation of the Officers and Directors will follow the vote.
Please vote now by simply replying to Marion Weiler’s email or by sending him an email (mgwe at pacbell.net) with your Yes or No vote. The vote is for the slate as a whole, noting any individual exceptions, if needed. Presently, there are no contested positions for Officers, and our bylaws allow all nominees for the Directors to serve, if voted in. There are no other positions or proposals to be voted on at this annual meeting. All nominees are current Board members and Officers with the exception of Julian Salkin, who will be the only new member Director.
As we look ahead to the future with our new nominees, we also want to express our deepest gratitude to Karen Boyer, who is transitioning off the Board after five years of dedicated service to SMCAS. Thank you Karen!
